Antique Oak bureau with bookcase above - REDUCED FOR QUICK SALE in Clitheroe, Lancashire for sale

This bureaux has been in our family for over 50 years. It was bequithed in 2000 to my sister - who completely renovated it and had it french polished in 2005. We inherited it from my sister last year - but sadly we do not have space in our house for it - and we urgently need to empty this space. So it is with great sadness that we have to sell it. See the main photo of it above (which really doesn't do it Justice). It is made of solid oak and It has some lovely carved detail on the bureaux door and the top of the bookcase. The bureaux desk supports come out of the main body when the desk is opened - giving it a good stable space and leather embossed surface, to use for writing on or to store and use a laptop. It has three varying size drawers that run the full width and depth of the bureaux. It has both working keys for the bookcase doors and the desk door. The books displayed in the photographs do not come with the bookcase. There are three movable shelves (the third is sat in the base of the bookcase). Height 197cm, Width 91cm, Depth of bureaux 42cm, Depth of bookcase 24cm. Depth of desk to cubbies is 47cm. Unfortunately it was stored for a short time in a room with a puppy - who has chewed three of the drawer handles, one of the corners at the bottom of the bureaux and there are also some scratches on the right side panel of the bureaux. I believe all of these can be renovated easily - it is even possible to have the three handles replaced by a joiner. May be able to deliver locally for a small additional amount.
